COMMENT:
The "rebus ripanis" is a collection of letters concerning the history of Ripatransone written in Latin.
The first version of De "rebus ripanis" was written by a humanist Giovanni Garzoni from Bologna end a theologian of Ripatransone known as Giovanni Paci.
The first edition was written by Garzoni from 1497 to 1781, when Gaetano Tanursi published in Rome other than the past writings of Garzoni and Quatrini and a treatise entitled " Historiarum Ripanarum Epitome" and his personal writings "Ripanae Historiae Fragmenta", entitled by him with the title of "De Rebus Ripanis"
Giovanni Garzoni was born in Bologna in the 1419 in a noble family, he studied medicine but his main interests were the letters.
He was inspired by Cicero and his life style and by St. Agustine.
Has mentioned before he was the author of "De Rebus Ripanis" according to the letters written by Giovanni Paci.
