This essay
was written to celebrate the first 100 years (1902 - 2002) our Redeemer
situated on the tower bell of the cathedral.
The
introductory note, was written by the canonical Don Vittorio Perozzi which
summarise the essence of this historical essay.
This is the
result of a documented and elaborated research studying the archives of the
chapter of the canonicals.
For the
"Ripani" (The inhabitants of Ripatransone), the Redeemer represents
not only the history and devotion but a symbol of our believe in God.
Reading
this essay you'll know the exact number of the bells and their names.
It is
divided into three section; The Tower Bell, The Redeemer and at the end a
photographic album.
The first
part is about the old tower bell and the reason for the construction of the new one.
The old
tower bell, (which has been photographed) was built in the first part of 1616,
and it was finished in the 1657, based on design of Gaspare Guerra, including
also the project for the new cathedral.

"To
The Honor And Glory Of Jesus Redeemer
Patrick
Pierazzoli Was Symphorian
From
Ripatransone For His Devotion And At His Own Expenses Was Erected In The Year
Of The Lord 1901"
This phrase
is at the bottom of the stature of the Redeemer.
Patrick was
an excentric man, being conscious of the financial difficulties of the clergy,
he decided in less than a second to use his money for buying, the new statue of the
Redeemer, he went to Milan and he ordered and paid Luigi Bò of Milan the
realisation of this statue, which is made of copper.
Why The Redeemer?
Alberto tells us that, in occasion of the advent of 1900, the Pope Leo XIII decided to celebrate the 20 centuries of redemption putting on the top of the towers, the statue of Jesus the Redeemer.
The last chapters are about the restoration of the tower bell (1987/88) and some poems dedicated to the Redeemer.
Tramonto A Ripa (G.Martelli 1913-1993)
Il sole, a tocchi
di rosse pennellate adesso sfiora
le mura e il verde degli ombrosi pini,
e il capo perchè il Redentore chini
nella suadente pace di quest' ora.
This poem is like a impressionist paintings, describing the typical red sunset of Ripatransone and the statue perfectly nestled in the panorama of Ripatransone and the immortal devotion of the Ripani.
