This essay is in part dedicated to the ancient rectory of Ripatransone, with the church and its abside of the XI Century and to the study of the local religious tradition.

The origins of this rectory date back to the 1000, when the Italy was ruled by the Franks.

During this time it was dedicated to Dionysius (one of the most venerated saint in France) and Rustico and Eleuterio martyrs.

Successively it was dedicated to St. Nicholas following the spread of the cult, in the year 1467.

The notes are rich of historical information, such as the detailed history of this saint, and a dedicated chapter to the priest Pasquale Loy, that in the new church of St Mary of the Valley, sensitized the local inhabitants, the Ripani to the cult of the Madonna of Lourdes.

The remaining chapters are dedicated to the transfer of the parish to St. Mary of the Valley during the 1880.

In this church there is the statue of the Madonna of Lourdes inside a cave and Bernadette at her feet in adoration for the divine apparition.

Now we can finally hear the unmistikable voice of Alberto, he tells us that, according to the iconographic canons this Madonna wears a white dress as a symbol of the glorious light.

Her bel is celestial because it represents her supernatural virginity, but the most important thing is to observe her faces of the Madonna and Bernadette kneeling, and the roses at the feet of the Madonna.

This essay ends with two poems written by Alfredo Rossi and Delvia Angellotti.

The first poem was written by Alfredo during a journey to Lourdes, here his emotions are yet live, we can feel his same emotions

The second poem describes the Lady of The Pyrenees and the novena, dediacated to the Madonna (in the Roman Catholic Church is a form of worship consisting of special prayers, the bitter cold, the snow and the sound of the bells, where like a choir, in a blaze of love and faith, they sing loudly the devotion to Mary "Your Beautiful"

This book is available for reading at the Library of the Sistine's Museum of Ripatransone (Close to the Cathedral on Monday, Thursday & Friday 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm)
