Description:
This altar is dedicated to the patron saint of the city of Ripatransone to thank the saint for the cessation of the plague of 1528. The iconography of the Noli Me Tangere refers to the Gospel of John when Jesus, after the resurrection, ordered the Magdalene not to touch him.
Jesus is portrayed in a pink robe with a gold border, which cringes him creating large and grandiose folds.
On his shoulder there is a hoe and the other in blessing. In front of his feet is the jar of ointments iconographic attribute of Saint Mary Magdalene.
The Magdalene wears a yellow dress with a white neckline, black sleeves and a dark belt.
A red drape bordered with gold envelops it.
