Description:
The painter is Antonio Nicolo and thanks to the blue background, he puts in evidence the suffering of the Madonna and St. John in prayer.
On the left of the cross there is the Virgin Of Sorrow, she is looking at his son dead on the cross with his closed eyes and a bleeding wound.
The vergin wears a green dress covered by a red cloak.
At the feet of Christ there is the Magdalene, the patron of Ripatransone.
In this scene she is kneeling and in the act of kissing the sores of Jesus.
On the right there is St. John with a yellow cloak that covers a red dress.
At the centre of the lower register we see an intimate moment with the Madonna and her Child, and saints.
