The sanctuary inside the cathedral of Ripatransone is dedicated to the Madonna of San Giovanni, the patron of the city and diocese of Ripatransone since 1893.
The entrance door is made of copper, realised in the 1950 by Cleto Capponi.
The central panel on the right, is the scene of the thanksgiving function (for the escaped danger during the Second World War), held in Piazza Ascanio Condivi, in date 25 June 1944
The central panel on the left, there is the scene of the Madonna in the act of protecting Ripatransone from above.
In the lower part of the door, there are two coats of arms, that of Ripatransone on the right, and that of the Bishop Ferri on the left.
The Sanctuary was created in the years 1846 - 58 with a project by Gianbattista Carducci.
The statues, are made by Luigi Fontana, the saints are: San Giovanni Evangelista, San Giovanni Battista, San Giuseppe, Sant 'Anna (Niches)
Thera are five crystal chandeliers, from Murano, the wall decorations are made by Antonio Morettini.
The two paintings represent The Assumption of the Virgin on the right and the Annunciation on the left. are made by Ballarini.
At the center is the Simulacrum, made by Sebastanio Sebastiani in 1620 where there is painted, The Holy House Transported By Angels, painted by Luigi Fontana.
The twelve stations are made of ivory.
