In this altarpiece are narrated two stories.
In the background there are the three crosses with two thieves dying on their crosses, and the Roman soldiers with two white horses, banners, arrows and flags proud of their work. Jerusalem a hill town, two trees and the sea.
In front of the eyes of the observer there is the main scene, that's completely different, here we breath the desperation of Mary, supported by Mary the Magdalene and by one of the pious women.
