Il romanzo ha ottenuto una segnalazione al Premio Speciale Giallo / Noir della XII Edizione Del Concorso Letterario "Città Di Grottammare"

Lorenzo Della Fonte è direttore d'orchestra, compositore, insegnante e scrittore. 

Tra le sue opere ricordiamo i romanzi "Chopin Non Va Alla Guerra" 

"Il Senso Della Guerra"  e 

"Il Codice Debussy". 

Che cosa hanno in comune la misteriosa sparizione di una bacchetta appartenuta a Verdi, una storica visita del maresciallo Badoglio nelle terre picene, l'omicidio di un direttore teatrale e alcune foto compromettenti scattate da Silvia? 

Un cocktail di indizi, un puzzle, un vero rompicapo per il capitano dei Regi Carabinieri Giovanni Bassan, il quale dovrà fare la spola fra l'Italia e New York, per risolvere un fatto intricato di enigmi, crimini. 

Il romanzo è arricchito di figure storiche realmente esistite come Arturo Toscanini e Mary McCarthy, il bel romanzo di Della Fonte, è un ritratto corale di un'epoca che si muove tra la ricostruzione storica e la trama gialla.

Chi è Lorenzo Della Fonte?

Direttore d’orchestra, insegnante, compositore e scrittore, da sempre è impegnato perché all’orchestra di fiati venga riconosciuta la dignità di ensemble pienamente dotato per le più importanti espressioni artistiche.

A questo scopo ha diretto in prima esecuzione assoluta, europea o italiana opere di autori quali Husa, Corigliano, Daugherty, Williams, Grainger, Rodrigo, Tower, Botti, Hagen, Andriessen, Gaslini, Boccadoro, Gedda, Van der Roost, Horovitz, Hartley, Reed, Dello Joio, Waignein, Hidas, Golland, Wilson, Woolfenden.

Nel 2000 ha vinto il Primo Premio al Concorso Internazionale per Direttori d'Orchestra "Prix Credit Suisse" di Grenchen (Svizzera).

È docente titolare di Strumentazione per Orchestra di Fiati al Conservatorio di Torino, direttore dell'Orchestra di Fiati della Valtellina, dell’Orchestra di Fiati dei Conservatori di Messina e Sassari, della Brass Band del Conservatorio di Torino e direttore ospite con vasta attività internazionale (oltre 700 concerti in 18 Paesi d’Europa, Nord e Sud America, Asia). È stato direttore stabile della Civica Orchestra di Fiati di Milano dal 1994 al 1997, gruppo con cui collabora come direttore ospite.

Come compositore è autore di diversi brani originali e trascrizioni, pubblicati da Molenaar (Olanda), Animando, Mulph, Boario, Scomegna, Wicky, Eufonia, Mitropa (Svizzera): i suoi lavori  “Vento di Maggio”, “Exortus”, “Il lago era immobile…” e “Voci da Brescia, 1974” hanno ottenuto, rispettivamente, il 1° Premio al 2° Concorso Internazionale di Composizione per Banda “Città di Gubbio” (2009), il 1° Premio al Concorso Europeo di Composizione per Banda (Lussemburgo 1994), il 4° Premio al Concorso Internazionale “Arge Alp” (Bolzano 1997) e la menzione al Concorso di Composizione per Banda “I. Capitanio” (Brescia 1999). Le sue composizioni sono incise, tra gli altri, sui CD “Voci Stanze Danze” (Giovanile Orchestra di Fiati di Ripatransone/Animando) e “The Silken Ladder” (Polizeimusikkorps Baden-Württemberg/Molenaar). Scrive anche su commissione, ed i suoi lavori gli sono stati richiesti da importanti bande ed istituzioni come Biblioservice Gelderland (Olanda).

Come scrittore è autore del saggio “La Banda: orchestra del nuovo millennio” sulla storia della letteratura per fiati (Joker Edizioni), e dei romanzi storico-musicali “L’infinita musica del vento” (Casa Musicale Eco 2014, primo premio Istituto di Cultura di Napoli 2017), “Chopin non va alla guerra” (Elliot 2017), "Il senso del tempo" (Elliot 2018), "Il codice Debussy" (Elliot 2019) e “Stoccafisso in salsa Verdi” (Elliot 2020).

The Gleaner of Sapri's Manuscript (Written by the poet Luigi Mercantini)

At the top floor of the museum there is the original manuscript of The Gleaner of Sapri, Written by Luigi Mercantini. "They were three hundred, they were young and strong, and they died." This  is the famous refrain of what is probably one of the most famous poems of the Risorgimento, the gleaner of Sapri, composed by Luigi Mercantini in memory of the enterprise attempted by Carlo Pisacane in 1857 to unification Italy. In these sections of the Historical Museum is dedicated to the poet Risorgimento Luigi Mercantini with an Historical Ethnographic Collection. This floor, dedicated to the Italy of nineteenth, allows visitors to immerse themselves during the time of National Unity, capturing the feelings that animated the young patriots who infuocavano the Italian Province. Madonna and Child, Saint Martin, Saint Anthony Abbot By: Vittore Crivelli

  In the middle of this triptych there is the Madonna with her child in the act of blessing. The Madonna' s face is melancholic as she senses the end of her child will meet. The child holds a goldfinch, an angel with a sword and another one with crossed hands. Behind them a cane holds a cloth with a pomegranate and an apple hanging from it. Respectively they represents the church and the original sin. On the left there is Saint Martin bishop, in one hand he holds a finely bound hardback book with a model of a village with towers and crenelled walls. On the right there is Saint Antonio Abbott bishop who holds a book and a little bell. Above this triptych there is The Piety with tree Cherubini invented on collecting the blood of Christ. On the left there is the Madonna, on the right a praying Saint. At the feet of Christ there is Mary Magdalene. In the background a landscape. .
