Description
The Madonna with he loved child is seated on a throne.
Behind here there are two flying angels.
They hold a red cloth, which highlights the face of the Madonna who holds Jesus on her knees, here we see him as an energetic child, intent on blessing the two saints.
On the left there is a Saint with a lily, who symbolize the purity, and the pastoral staff, which serves to guide the faithful.
At the bottom there is a white bag, an apple with a sheet of paper underneath.
On the right is Saint Jerome, famous for having removed a thorn from a lion's paw and for having translated the Bible.
He shows to the Madonna a model of a church.
On the base of the throne there are two putti, the one on the left is playing the violin and the other the lute.
Behind theme there are two towns, with white clouds and a blue sky.
All of this is overshadowed by black clouds, a strong contrast between light and darkness, where a shadow falls on the town on the left.
