Description
This Gothic polyptychs is divided into two sections, the lower and the upper.
On the Predella there is the blessing Christ.
To his left and right there are his twelve apostles.
Carlo Crivelli painted Saint Nicholas and Saint Michael the Archangel and the four saints on the upper tier.
Vittore painted the Madonna with the child, Saint John the Baptist, Saint Blaise and the Piety.
In the centre at the bottom there is the Madonna with her child who sleeps on her knees.
On the far right there is Saint Blaise, with the pastoral staff and the book.
Then there is Saint John the Baptist, with the red cross and the scroll where it is written "here is the angel of God"
On the far left there is Saint Nicholas the Bishop and Saint Michael the Archangel with the sword at his feet there is the devil.
In the centre of the upper tier there is the dying Christ supported by two angels.
On the far right is Saint Catherine of Alexandria, with the palms of martyrdom and dressed in royal robes.
Saint Rocco the Pilgrim, is distinguished by the shell, the staff and the book.
Saint Martin has a red hat and rides a white horse.
Then there is Saint John the Evangelist with the book.
